Mahesh Babu is back to work. On the occasion of his father Krishna’s birth anniversary, he has announced the title of his 26th film. The film, which is being directed by Anil Ravipudi has been titled as Sarileru Neekevvaru. Buzz is that new sensation Rashmika Mandanna will be romancing Mahesh Babu in the film. In the film, Mahesh Babu plays the role of a cop who has hemophobia, which is the fear of blood. It is a full-on mass entertainer. Mahesh Babu was recently in the US for a small vacation to celebrate the success of Maharshi. The Vamsi Paidipally film is the second highest grosser after Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam in the local belt. In the film, he played three roles i.e. of a student, tycoon and a farmer. Maharshi is still going strong at the box office.
Sarileru Neekevvaru will also star veteran actress Vijayashanthi in a crucial role. Jagapathi Babu who won over audiences with his villainous acts in films like Rangasthalam and Maharshi is the baddie here as well. The shoot of the film will start in June. The makers are hoping to release it in Sankranthi next year. The pre-production work has started in full swing.
Mahesh Babu’s dad Krishna is the pillar of the family. He was a prolific actor and filmmaker. In a career spanning five decades, he worked in 350 films. Mahesh Babu wrote about how he was an inspiration throughout. He was elected as a member of the Congress Party in 1989.
Namrata Shirodkar also took to Twitter to wish her father-in-law.
