Former India batsman Aakash Chopra has responded to Abdul Razzaq’s statements regarding Hardik Pandya. The former Pakistan allrounder posted a clip on social media, saying that he can turn Pandya into world’s best allrounder. Razzaq boldly claimed that he needs just two weeks to change Pandya’s fortunes.
The Pakistani stalwart said that he watched Pandya bat for the first time when India clashed with West Indies earlier this week. Pandya played a fighting knock of 46 on a tough pitch but Razzaq was not too impressed with it. He said that Pandya’s batting had too many flaws and offered to help him if BCCI gives him the go ahead.
“Today I watched the game between India and West Indies and saw Hardik Pandya bat for the first time. There were too many faults in his batting. If I spend two weeks with him, I can hopefully make him the best hitter and allrounder in the world,” said Razzaq.
Razzaq’s noble gesture received praise from hundreds of Indian fans. However, Aakash Chopra is perhaps not too impressed with Razzaq’s offer. The ex cricketer-turned-commentator praised Razzaq’s gesture but asked him wouldn’t it be better if helps his compatriot Faheem Ashraf before helping Pandya. Aakash Chopra took to Twitter to write the same, tweeting:
“Nice of Abdul Razzak to offer assistance…but wouldn’t it be nice for Pakistan if he invested the same effort in Fahim Ashraf?? Just asking…. what’s the view from across the border on this? #Pandya #CWC19”
